Neil Young says he has decided to "take a break" from performing
Canadian American singer-songwriter Neil Young will no longer be performing in Cornwall after cancelling his entire 2026 European tour.
Eden Session said it was "with regret" it had cancelled Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts show at the Eden Project in Cornwall on 17 June.
Young said in a statement he had decided to "take a break" and thanked everyone who had bought tickets for his European tour, which had gigs at Cardiff's Blackweir Fields and Heaton Park in Manchester included on the itinerary.
He said in a statement: "I'm sorry to let you down, but this is not the time. I do love playing LIVE and being with you and the Chrome Hearts."
Eden Sessions said those who had bought tickets would be contacted directly to be fully refunded against the original payment card used.
The Cornwall concert was due to be the first of a series across the UK and Europe, with dates in Glasgow, Woodstock and Cork also included.
Young has won a string of accolades across his six-decade career, including two Grammys and nine Juno Awards.
Young is best known for songs including Cinnamon Girl, Like A Hurricane and Rockin' In The Free World, and last year he headlined at Glastonbury and took to the stage at BST Hyde Park.
On Tuesday, singer-songwriter Ben Howard, who was raised in Devon and studied in Falmouth, was announced as one of the headline acts for Eden Sessions.
