Aurigny said no passengers were on board the aircraft involved
An investigation has been launched after a "serious incident" involving an Aurigny aircraft.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) said it had sent a team to Guernsey after it received reports of the incident which involved an aircraft as it approached the island's airport on Wednesday.
Aurigny confirmed it was working alongside relevant authorities to facilitate the investigation into the circumstances of flight GR101P.
The airline said the flight, which had no passengers on board, landed safely at Guernsey Airport and "most importantly" its team were safe and well.
"The affected aircraft was immediately removed from our operations and remains so until it can be returned to service," an Aurigny spokesperson said.
The airline said it was unable to comment further during an ongoing investigation.
It added appropriate provisions had been made to support its ongoing operations, get travellers where they needed to be and keep the community connected.
