England opener Zak Crawley has signed a one-year contract extension with Kent.

It will be the 28-year-old's 10th season with Kent's first team. He has scored 7,837 runs in 139 first-class matches for the club, at an average of 31.98.

Crawley made his England debut in 2019 and has 73 caps for his country.

He has 3,586 runs, including five centuries, in 64 Test appearances, as well as 205 runs in nine one-day internationals.

"I feel very proud to be heading into my 10th year at Kent," he told the club's website.

"I'm excited to play for my home county when available this year – there's a lot of talent coming through now and I hope to aid in their development as much as I can."

Kent finished bottom of County Championship Division Two last year.

They begin the new season away at Durham on Friday, 3 April.
